It is time to let go of my second job. It is conflict riddled and depressing. I am scared of losing the money. I am scared of the void that will be left. I will have to go do what my heart is telling me is next. I am scared of moving away from a job field that has defined me as a person and given me a role and excuses but that I have given my sense of self. Time is short. I have lost numerous friends and family over the last two years. The job I am letting go of defined middle age and youth for me. It was good and worked at those times. It opened the door I am going through now. I am grateful but I need to finish this leaving instead of dragging on like I have. Friday I will let go.
Change can be so scary. How are you feeling now, Tammy? Are you glad you’ve made those changes in your life?
I hope you’re feeling calmer and more settled now. 🙂

I am nervous but excited by putting “magic” steps to my 5 goals. Can see that actually SCHEDULING the magic in calendar and DOING IT is the key to achieving the goals, instead of just repeating the goals themselves without doing any practical steps to achieving them..
Two goals and their magic:
1. Pay off credit card debts. M1: talk with financial adviser and transfer money to pay off bills. M2: keep a running total of card use and keep use to a monthly maximum for each card so I KNOW how much I’m spending; M3: Carry that total with me when I’m out.
2. Lose weight and get healthy. M1: use Mayo Clinic diet to plan meals for the week ahead. M2: include more fruit and veg in every day’s planned meals. M3: Sign(ed already) for Yoga twice weekly, Do cardio (walk 1 hour) on other days.
I hope this emphasis on the “magic” keeps me from failing by just planning, not DOING.
I am definitely uneasy but I know it is the only way I will make my goals. I have to go back to basics in work, go back to time for myself, including meditation and yoga, and start purging section by section so that I can eliminate that stress from my life. Bring on Day 4!
I have excellent intentions, but bad follow through. Easy to identify and put these ‘magic’ vs ‘illusion’ activities on paper… but its still easier to grab cup of coffee and review emails versus put shoes on and walk… so I’m eager for tomorrow’s exercise!
