Hello, I just purchased the year subscription. I am anxious to get started. My issue with my office is that I am constantly piling stuff up on my desk even after I clean it off; it gets right back into the same shape within a week. Also, I tend to use floor for my brochures etc. I have most things organized as far as in containers and labeled. It is the daily, weekly things that I can’t seem to get organized.

Hey Michelle, I’m electronically challenged and having trouble navigating to my task. HELP
Hi Michelle, I’m new here and just purchased the entire package. Let’s just say I need to organize my home, my office, my weight, my life and my brain! I’m OCD and my brain is in desperate need of a few turnstiles to help slow it down, lol. Seriously though, is there a list somewhere of what order I should read each item I purchased. I’m so scattered lately (not typical for me) that I can’t even figure out where to start. Help!
The following is our group decisions:
Shred: documents, mail with your address, financial data, personal data and statistical data.
Recycle: cans, cell phones, old computers, newspapers, magazines, plastic grocery bags, non-sensitive paper and cardboard.
Trash: junk mail, tatty items, expired food, tacky items, broken items, dirty items, rusty and yucky items.
Donate or sell at Thrift Store: books, magazines, clean clothes, dust collectors, and toys.
Archive: legal documents, warranties, unpaid bills, unresolved documents, birth certificate, social security card, passport, marriage license, divorce papers, medical records: prescription meds, diagnoses and medical team, living will, power of attorney and insurance policies.
OK, so it’s now Day 11 and I have just finished purging. I really wanted to do this completely before I moved on. I got rid of 1.5 big yellow recycling bins of paper, almost 1 full red wheelie bin of ‘rubbish’ and 1 small archive box of materials to scan/file and 1 small box of old letters, cards and photos that I couldn’t part with. I’ve gotten rid of it all and just vaccumed the office – wow! what a difference already. I’m pumped and ready to move onto Day 2. Great to have a long weekend – maybe I can get through the next 6 days in 4!
Michelle this is awesome! Taking all that time is the perfect choice, because you’ll find the remaining days far easier now that you have so much less stuff.
Hello from redlot380… I’m a first timer 🙂 who wasn’t able to start this program with the rest of the community, but wondered if the program/daily breakdown/tasks will still be available to me via the same link when I’m able to begin? Thanks!
Welcome Vicky! You’ll have access to the program for 2 months from the start date – ie from 18 March. See you on Day 1!
My desk is such a nightmare – I can’t wait to get started. With three little kids and a work-from-home job, I know it will take me longer than 7 days.
Clearing out about 10 years of “not doing much at all” – didn’t realize how run down and sick I really was. But now.. lots of energy and tired of the clutter! I can find things but no one else can.
Sounds like a wonderful time for clearing out the stuff that’s holding you back! I think this will be therapeutic for you. 🙂
Just joined with a Premium subscription…this IS the year I will have my whole house organized! LOL My office is a scary project as it is also my “dump it” room when I clean out other areas of my house. Here we go…
The home office is often the worst, precisely because it does become the dumping ground, Tami.
What a great goal to organize your whole house this year. And you have everything you need in the Premium Subscription – we cover literally every room! 🙂
So ready to be more productive with less clutter…HELP.
I sure will Michele (great name!). See on Day 1.
I’m excited about changing a habit that is my biggest procrastination…I chuck everything into a pile on a daily basis and then spend days/ weeks putting off dealing with it 🙁
Oh yes those piles cause all the trouble Amanda! we’ll sort them out.:)
This is my first time trying one of your courses, but I always read your updates. Hoping to get an organized space that I can use to keep up with monthly book keeping for our real estate business. Right now I am tackling it all once a year for taxes (still need to do) and the task is so large I am prone to procrastinate it.
Welcome Briana! So true – the bigger the task, the greater the procrastination. It’s human nature. Let’s make it easier this week!
Just signed up for your 7 day class. Looking forward to it.
See you on Day 1. 🙂
My home office is one corner of my bedroom! I need to get it organized so my bedroom can be a tranquil place….not a pit! I’m a single mom of teenage boys in a small house. My bedroom is one place I can escape sometimes when volume and testosterone levels get too high! lol.
Welcome! On Day 2 you may consider moving your home office somewhere else… You need that tranquility!
