It’s wonderful have you along – I can’t wait to begin!
Please leave a comment to say hi, introduce yourself, and/or tell me your greatest home clutter problem.
Hi I’m Renee. My biggest block is multitasking and not tidying after each activity. I think that I will do it when I get a free moment. They don’t seem to exist. I am renovating an old house with my three children under 10 and have a always or nothing approach that needs to go. It works great for renovation but is useless in day to day affairs. Looking forward to some support and advice.
Took another SUV full of things to Hospice yesterday, and have given friends nice gifts of things I’m ready to release. The house looks so much better! My goal is to get down to my favorite 100 things (art, accessories, furniture). Clothes are now what fits and what I get compliments on when I wear them. This will be ongoing. Thank you so much.
This will be much more than a 7 day project for me, but so far we’ve taken about 100 books to the Friends of the Library, and bunch of pet supplies and toys to the Humane Society, two bags of clothing to a charity, and I have another pile of things to take. Today I’ve sorted photographs and gotten rid of a lot. House feels lighter, as do I. Lots more to do, but I’ve permanently “changed my mind” about stuff, so I know I’ll keep going and continue simplifying. Thank you for the kick in the pants!
Hi. Im Darcie. My biggest problem is everything! Nothing ever gets put away…until I decide to clean. Granted I have three under the age of 6. And two teenagers and a husband!
Ican’t access my pages. I’ve requested to change my password several times, but no new email shows up, and my dashboard page won’t let me login. When I try to use the link you sent, I get an Error 404 page.
After a full day at work, I was excited to come home and tackle the living room. Before I crashed with exhaustion, I collected a huge bag of old movies and music to donate, a bag of things to throw away, 3 bags of books to donate, 4 boxes of silver serving pieces to take to consignment. That’s enough for today. Time to rest. But it feels great! : )
I have spent the last four years getting a PhD AND I accumulated tons of related stuff. Then the last year I have been doing an internship (living in a studio apartment our of town) and finishing my dissertation. SO, everything else in my life just got stuck who knows where — my husband didn’t take care of the papers, etc. AND he retired and brought tons of stuff that he had at his office to our garage. It is CHAOS here.
Our next online program starts next Monday. Get ready to purge and live more simply! “See” you in the comments everyone. 🙂
Hi! Like many people in these posts, I moved from a much larger home when my husband died several years ago, and, although I jettisoned a LOT of stuff and furniture, I still need to pare down for the life I live now. I’ve worked on it continuously, in spurts, but now I’m down to the hard part of releasing things I have real attachments to so the Universe can find them new homes. I want to move in the next year, and do NOT want to haul that stuff around one more time. So here we go! I’m claiming freedom from STUFF and the ability to breathe! Thank you for all you do.
Hi there. I’m just get really depressed when housework gets on top of me and I don’t know where to start. Really and truly hoping this will help. Time to sort things out. Once I get started I’ll do better 🙂 Great to have this nudge and help along the way x
My main problem is categorisation. I have no idea where to put things. I get overwhelmed by the amount of stuff. I am never sure what to keep or chuck out. I feel emotional and judgmental, an indication of me being a bad person about it rather than seeing it as a practical problem.
My name is Sue, and I have several areas that are clutter problems. I think the two worse ones are my office/workshop, where I keep scrap booking inventory and hold monthly crops, and my bedroom corner and closet/drawers. I’m looking forward to this, though I work part-time as an informatics nurse, so may be sporadic in when I can do the assignments.
Can’t seem to access the dashboard. Will email he helpdesk?
The only access I have to Internet is my IPhone. It seems I cannot access the program at all. Have I just wasted $149.00?

Hi – I am so hoping for help from this program. I moved five years ago from a 4 bedroom house where I raised my three boys to a 2 bedroom house. I threw away, sold and gave away a lot of stuff then, but I am still packed to the gills with things I don’t need. Sometime in the next year I must move again and want to pare down to essentials, since I don’t want to pay to move things that are not necessary. My main problem is what to do with the stuff I need to get rid of. There is only so much room in my trash cans per week and nobody wants old books, etc. etc. Oh well, I just hope this program can get me inspired to accomplish my goals. Thanks.
Hello! I’m so excited to be here. I am by no means a hoarder of any kind but I do a lot of work with our local humane society & have a lot if rescues. We have 8 dogs, horses, chickens, cats & a parrot. With all the different animals comes lots of different STUFF. We also have a 3 yr old boy. 😉 we live in the country in lots of land & love it.
I am starting to day! 2013 was crazy & rough for my family. My home became cluttered and messy. I am hopping the program will help me bring 2014 as a streamlined family life. Here we go…
I’ve lived in the same house for many years, and due to caring for several family members who were ill, having my husband pass away and children grow up and leave home, I have accumulated way too much stuff. It’s paralyzing! I hope this site will help me get motivated and give me swift kicks to keep me going!
