It’s wonderful have you along – I can’t wait to begin!
Please leave a comment to say hi, introduce yourself, and/or tell me your greatest home clutter problem.
it says “day7” but i’m only up to day2 and won’t be able to hook into it for a couple of days
BUT i was inspired to give away our whole vinyl collection which has been cluttering up the hall for years!
I need to know whether I can print out each project as I receive it because as a new client, I’m having trouble keeping up with the program. I need to be able to access day’s that I missed any time I can get back to it. Can I download or print any of the projects as long as my year’s subscription is in force?
I was so inspired by yesterday’s kitchen clean out, that I want to keep going–in the kitchen. Should i move on to the bathroom and come back to the kitchen or should I finish the kitchen first?

I would have everything in its place IF I had a place for everything. Since I don’t have a place for everything…clutter ensues..
Every area and room in my home has become OUT OF CONTROL with stuff everywhere, no place to put things. I have to clean one area to clean another so I will have room and it is just overwhelming. I just left a career job to start a home business and I am so unorganized everywhere I can’t get anything done or be productive at all. I am sick of living like this and I am desperate to fix me if that is possible. I am so overwhelmed I don’t know where to start. Now I find I have a problem throwing things away. I think because I am detail oriented and resourceful and always thinking of how I can use something. It’s crazy EVERYTHING has value to me and it’s hard letting go. I don’t know if that is an insecurity problem or what. It has become so bad my family tells me I am becoming a hoarder and from the looks of things in my home and where it’s going they may be telling the truth. I started this program at my wits end hoping for a miracle. I am so lost, unorganized and out of control and it shows up big time.
I have lived in my home 27 years and raised 6 children here. They are gone now, but not all their stuff + all of my stuff/projects/business trying to get off the ground. I need to declutter or move!!! Where to start?!
I’m here!
Hello, I’m Michelle, currently trying to recharge my batteries and find myself again after leaving my full-time job to become a caretaker. First, to my granddaughter, then out of necessity becoming a caretaker to my parents (and giving up full-time care of my granddaughter). Now both parents have passed away, and my youngest child has gone to college, and I am contemplating taking on care of my granddaughter again, but I feel like I have to get my house back first. I am swamped with out of control hobby supplies, too many clothes, closets full of toys from my now college student son…I don’t know where to begin, and at the same time I have several important piles of papers from my parents I need to keep…HELP.
I really need this. I have a hard time parting with “clutter” and if it’s put away and I don’t see it, then I end up buying it again or forget that I even have it. Most of my stuff is out in the open and I really need to get a handle on this.
I am so glad I saw this. My daughter moved back home and moved all my crafting stuff which now sits in the living room. So much clutter and just stuff, I get overwhelmed so hoping this will help me 🙂
So excited for tomorrow!
Hi, I’m Amanda. I am joining this challenge because I live in a small city apartment and want to get rid of some stuff to help keep my place in order. I have tried many times with decluttering and am hoping to find some good strategies that stick to keep the chaos under control.
Looking forward to this new challenge. My birthday is the 20th what better time for a fresh start. My biggest problem is motivation and working around other adults in my home. I think I need to concentrate on my bedroom and make it a retreat but it is a very tiny space. Where do I go with my yoga and meditation stuff? Awww!
My greatest home clutter problem is paper:( It is everywhere. I am not sure how to get on top of it and then everything just seems to pile up.
Hi. I don’t know where to start. I’m a single mum of three kids (14, 12, 12) and all I seem to do is washing (clothing, dishes) and trying to keep the house clean but I never seems to get it tidy. My biggest self issue is the feeling of no energy – the heat doesn’t help (high 30C- low 40C already) but its in the brain too seeing/knowing what I want/need to do – I just flop don’t knowing what to do
So my biggest issue is where do I start and how do I actually get the kids to do their share.
But I have three areas of piles of stuff that really need to get sorted
* I have started to try and get rid of stuff don’t use or don’t need, ie its in a large pile in the house and in the garage.
* my bedroom where stuff gets put when I want to sort it out or stuff that I”m not sure where to put it for the moment as I’m trying to make the rest of the house look clean
* the study area – which is similar to my bedroom, piles of things that I need to sort out
I have a very cluttered home which would look 100 times better if it was decluttered and kept clean. The clutter is possibly mostly my stuff (paperwork from printing ebooks and emails I think would be useful when I am trying to build a business, but there are 5 other people living in my house and I have to work full time, take care of my ten year old and 20 month old and try to get a coaching business off the ground. The baby goes through the house like a hurricane and causes an awful mess so I am looking forward to learning how to keep all of the toys off the floor besides building a designated playroom which I would love but cannot afford it at the moment.
Thanks for this brilliant resource.
I had a coffee morning last week so have tidied up. Also have craft room in progress so somewhere to store stuff. Have sorted my closet for winter with less clothes. Rest in huge suitcase in attic. Have emptied attic and got rid of 2 van loads and dozen black sacks. Paperwork and bedroom to sort yet
Hi! My name is Cassandra! I have finally figured out how to access my Subscription! Ha Thanks Kylie for the help!
My biggest clutter issue is determining each place for everything. It ends up on a table because I am not sure where it should go. Or it ends up in a closet because I need it but am not sure how to store it in the most readily available place. Help! 🙂
My greatest home clutter problem is this: When we clean the house as a family, my husband cleans the kitchen and recycling area, the area where he works in the living room; my son cleans up his room, his playroom, his toys in the play room; I put away laundry, work on the front foyer, supervise my son, clean our bedroom…. and the piles of my things that are downstairs? Most of them are mine. Oh, put them in my office. My knitting stuff? Put it in my office. The instruments from work? Put them in my office. My office? Just close the door. So how does my office look? Like piles of clutter from the house landed there. It looks like we cleaned the whole house by dumping things in my office.
Just last night my 8 year old son commented that I need to clean it badly. “And then keep it clean Mom. Just like I do to my playroom.” There is some secret that my 8 year old son figured out about keeping his playroom clean that I have not yet learned about my office!!
Which makes me realize that whereas Part I of the problem is that I never take the time to clear out those piles from my office, Part II of the problem is that I don’t ask my family to help me.
I plan to have all 3 of us participate in the Decluttered home event! Looking forward to it.
