Permanent File for your Medical Records & Retirement Plans
The following documents are kept until they expire: Insurance Policies; Contracts; warranties; important receipts
Personal Documents: Personal choice
Tax Returns keep for 7 years
Keep for 1 year or until resolved: Bills; Bank Statements; Receipts; Checks.
Keep permanently check registers; pay stubs
Keep Vehicle Maintenance records/auto information while you own the vehicle
Keep the following documents in a home safe: bank account numbers; birth certificates; credit card numbers; Marriage certificate; Divorce papers; wills; Passport; PIN numbers; loan agreements; mortgage agreements; deeds
Keep instructions for various home items until you no longer own the item
Keep school transcripts; diploma; etc in a large envelope permanently
We would trash out of date invitations, notices, scribbled notes and papers of no value to us.
