Kitchen weekend included rearranging storage containers and finding lost lids and getting rid of old stuff
Our group responses are as follows:
Empty cupboard and sort.
Select items that you use regularly; have lids (if needed); & are in good condition.
To save space stack by size with all lids on top.
Throw out anything gross, ancient or funky.
Surplus keep for future use or repurpose to your needs.
Antique kitchen items can be used for making crafts or sell for cash
Replace items as needed – put on your shopping list.
Lunchboxes = metal lunchboxes are worth money and can be sold
Mostly had to though them out. Now I can see what I have. This project also lead me under the sink to declutter and organize.
Our group decisions are as follows:

Got help from grandaughter, took a lot more than 5 minutes. Used two large plastic cubes, these containers fit on the shelf in the cupboard. Put round containers in one square & oblong in the other, microwave safe items in a seperate drawer, so now they have a place they belong. Threw a clothes basket of old & unmatched items away. Cupboard now has space in it.
I don’t want to do this one, going into my cabinets is like opening up another mess in my house. 🙁 starting to feel overwhelmed. I think I’m actually just really tired so I might try this one later or tomorrow!
I have this one. I now only buy one size of storage container and it is the size of one serving of salad or soup. If I have leftovers I put them in these containers and I know how many I can serve with them. I get one brand so all lids fit all bottoms and they stack nicely. Lunch boxes are okay too – I keep one extra in case they leave theirs at school. I will be working on kids toys today instead.
