Our group decisions are:
Empty your pots & pans cupboard onto the floor or countertop
Select the items you use regularly.
Throw decrepit [beyond use] cookware into the trash.
If cookware is in good condition = donate
Put the pots, pans & cookware you’re keeping back into the cupboard. Make the area tidy by keeping similar items together.
If any of your pots, pans or cookware needs replacement, make a note on your shopping list.
Our group decisions are: Take inventory of what you have and store what you need using racks, hooks, & other tools that allow you to get the most use out of your limited cupboard space.
Remove your pots and pans from the cupboard.
Select the items you use regularly
Get rid of cookware you do not or should not use. Donate what you don’t use if in good condition.
Move cookware you rarely use to another location.
Protect your pots and pans with shelf lining.
Keep pots and pans with similar functions close together.
Avoid stacking frequently-used pots and pans. For small kitchens you will have to stack them.
Cushion stacked cookware with paper plates.
Put your heaviest items on the bottom.
Make use of wire racks.
Hang a pan to the side, if you have a large enough cupboard.
File your flat items vertically, rather than horizontally.
Move the interior shelf if necessary. Optional
Install a door-mounted lid rack. Optional
Create your own door-mounted lid storage. Optional
