Our group responses are as follows:
One large bag or box
Trash: tatty, broken, or in poor condition shoes
Keep if you can still wear shoes that are out of style
Donate ill-fitting uncomfortable shoes
Shoes that don’t go with your current outfits keep for one year. If not worn, then donate
Shoe repair can be expensive. If it’s a minor repair under $10.00 = repair the shoes. Over $10.00 = trash or repurpose.
I organized the shoes in my closet and now I have a place for my shoes and I can put outfits together easier.
My group responses are:
Trash: tatty, broken or in poor condition shoes
Personal choice or class reunions: out of style [show current students what style shoes you were wearing during your school days]
Trash, donate or alterations: uncomfortable shoes
Personal choice or donate: doesn’t go with your wardrobe, taste or lifestyle
I got rid of a few pairs of shoes that I never wear or they hurt my feet. I also cleared out more stuff from my closet but it seems like I will never get rid of all the junk. Any tips for letting go and not being so attached to everything?
Does everyone really ave that many shoes? I guess I’m living under a rock. I have one pair of flip flops for the house, one to go out, one pair of stirdy tennis shoes for walking, one pair of sandals for dresses or going out. Oh, I do have one pair of slip n black shoes with a closed toe for in the winter.
