In today’s 5 minutes we’re going to express-organize your garage (yes, I’m serious!).
Remember: clarity, freedom, and order. Let’s begin.

My group responses are as follows:
Set aside an entire weekend to sort your garage items.
You will need eight large boxes & large garbage cans with trash bags.
Ask some friends & family members to help sort & organize your garage. A. Sort into the categories listed below:
Categories: recycling, sports & recreational equipment, camping gear, automotive, seasonal decor, garden gear, tools & donate. Evaluate other items & see whether you can store them elsewhere
Group the contents. Begin grouping them into your categories in the driveway or center of the garage.
Trash or donate items that don’t fit in your categories.
Decide where you want each type of item to live, considering its frequency of use and the available space.
Now you know what you’re keeping & how much space you have, determine what containers to use. Metal Cabinets, wall-mounted pegboards & wire grids that hold everything from sports equipment to garden tools. Take advantage of overhead space with sturdy shelves that mount to the ceiling.
Relocate items to their new homes within the garage.
Set an organizing schedule every spring summer & fall.
My group responses are as follows:
Trash: Junk; rusty or broken tools; rusty or broken garden: implements, furniture & supplies
Keep or sell: antique supplies or tools
Personal choice or class reunions: Memorabilia [often used for display to show current students what life was like during your school days]
Open, sort and donate: items that you never unpacked from the last move
Keep for reference/personal choice: notes and books from school, college or special classes/groups
Donate, keep craft items you have made in good condition: abandoned crafts, hobbies, sports & interests
Depends on what the items are: items not used in the past 12 months = reevaluate the items & disperse accordingly
Suggestions for organizing your garage:
Drop cloths and rags place in separate plastic containers
Four cabinets: household supplies, auto supplies in two cabinets and home repairs
Hanging on wall: various tools
Drawers: Tools: electrical supplies, painting supplies, Tools: small power tools and auto repairs
Shelves: power tools
Yay, I always knew there would be a day that I would be glad I d’t have a garage!
No garage here. Spent the day in the pantry part f the laundry room.
Husband took care of this one, too. All I had to do was deliver garage and other first-week junk to goodwill yesterday!
