Time for Day 6 of the 30-Day Weight Loss-athon.
Read the steps first, then take 10 minutes to complete them.
Move fast, act quickly and stop over-thinking. Ready?
Lets go H2o
I have put a gallon container in the fridge so that I can enjoy nice cold water throughout the day. I also have a nice water bottle to use all the time. Lastly, I stopped at the grocery store this afternoon and purchased a few lemons, limes, and oranges to add flavor to my water. This is my start for today.
I discovered the benefits of water some time ago. I start my day with 32 oz of lemon water. I try to drink 1/2 my bodyweight in water daily. Sometimes I hit it, sometimes I exceed it. I try to keep my urine very pale – when it is not, its a reminder to drink more water.
Our group has decided the following: if your body retains water check with your licensed doctor for proper instructions. Our reason for drinking water are more energy, weight loss, healthy skin and your body needs it to function normally. Have a cup of juice or coffee each morning to take our medications. We will put forth a good effort to drink 2-liters of water daily. When offered a drink, ask for water or a beverage of your choice. Make sure you have a secure lid on the bottle or cup that you’re drinking from. We feel this is not necessary to have an attractive bottle or glass. When dining out ask for water with lemon or lime.
Our examples are: Make sure you have a covered bottle or cup at your desk/night stand with your drink.
2-litres should = 8 glasses of water.
Unnecessary expense to purchase a cute glass or water bottle!
Put your drinking glass on your placemat when setting your table.
Going to keep a water bottle on my desk and limit soda.
This is one of my strong points. I really like the taste of water and have a glass or bottle near me most of the day and on my night stand.
I’ve eliminated every other drink choice except water (and milk) from my home. I used to drink regular soda a lot but have very gradually cut back. I barely miss it now. Also, when I drink soda, it triggers certain food cravings such as I need something salty to go with the fizzy sweetness. With water, I don’t get triggered to pair it with any other food. I also have a 64 oz water bottle that I’ve started carrying with me everywhere and have the goal of finishing it by the end of the day. But today I forgot it! I also want to start drinking a couple glasses of water before eating but that’s a hard one to remember to do.
Some great tips from your commenters. My plans are: buy a pretty bottle and finish it during my work day and order water where I would usually order soda
I have been working on this for the last three weeks. I have really increased my water to about 80 oz per day. It really helps keep the hunger at bay.
I missed my workout yesterday, but I’m getting on the water today. Good excuse to buy that sparkly water bottle I’ve been eyeing. It’s so girly, lol
I plan to have water on my desk but need to keep it topped up. Not hard because water fountain 10 steps from my desk. I used to keep a glass in the bathroom and work on the empty my bladder fill my bladder principle. (Too much information?) Connect it to an activity. Every time I sit back at my desk after seeing a client. I always felt better when drinking more water

Easy one – I’ve been a water drinker for years. I can really tell when circumstances prohibit my usual intake. I love water!
Check 🙂
I always drink water at restaurants, at meals, etc., but I don’t drink ENOUGH of it and I know it. I’m going to work on that. I think it might even help with constipation. I like the suggestion of putting glasses in the fridge. I do put a Starbuck’s plastic glass with a straw next to my bed. I take my meds with it. Recently, I’ve been making sure I drink the rest of it when I get up. It’s a start. I bought two glass jugs on a stand, thinking that I could have it for company, of course, but then fill one and drink out of it throughout the day for a visual reminder to drink enough. However, I have discovered that I don’t stay home long enough for that to work!
Making a conscious effort to substitute water for the top ranked Southern beverage of choice: Sweet Tea!
I have three camelback water bottles – one blue, one yellow, one purple. Each holds 3 cups of water. I fill them before I go to bed and put them in the fridge. Each day I drink the blue one in the morning, the yellow one during the day, and the purple one at night. I don’t drink the whole thing at once, but keep it with me and drink about 1 cup at a time as the day goes on. By bedtime I have drunk 9 glasses of water – not too much for my weight.
