Welcome to Day 19 of the 30-Day Weight Loss-athon.
All tasks in the 30-Day Weight Loss-athon are adapted from my 52 Weight Loss Missions program.
Read the steps first, then take 10 minutes to think about them and take action. Ready?
This one is easy for me – I ALWAYS eat breakfast and usually it’s a very healthy one. I’m going to try and vary things a bit though… I do love overnight oats and porridge, good bread toasted with nut butter, avocado… Not keen on fruit so rarely have that for breakfast, might try incorporating some fruit somehow. Mmm. Lovely breakfasts!
Maybe a fruit smoothie? I don’t like dairy much, so a fruit smoothie (sans milk or yogurt) is an easy way to get a healthy kickstart in the morning!

I usually eat a whole grain cereal with berries and a banana; or a plate of veggies; or a smoothie for breakfast. I don’t usually eat it until after I’ve done my morning exercise and other routines.
Our group responses are as follows: Studies show that eating a healthy breakfast can help give you: a more nutritionally complete diet, higher in nutrients, vitamins & minerals; improve concentration & performance in the classroom or the boardroom; more strength & endurance to engage in physical activity & lower cholesterol levels!
Research also suggests that eating breakfast daily will reduce your hunger later in the day to avoid eating junk food; eating healthy choices for breakfast is more nutritious & lower in fat; more energy to refuel your body & replenish the glycogen stores that supply your muscles with immediate energy.
Our group eats the following for breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs, wheat toast, yogurt & fruit. Prepare the night before to wake up & see a sense of order in your home. Yes, we feel eating breakfast each morning will improve your health & memory. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I.e. a bowl of cereal with fruit slices; cream of wheat with fruit & fat free milk added; etc. Your breakfast drink can be: one or two cups of coffee; glass of fat free milk; orange juice; cranberry juice, etc. Whatever you do start your day out right – do not skip breakfast. If you’re in a hurry eat a banana. What do you eat for breakfast that is healthy? Keep up the good work & continue to be accountable.
I’ve noticed that I lack morning appetite when my digestive system is sluggish and recycling toxins. So that evening I take a natural herb, Ojibwa, before bed and the next morning my plumbing system flushes – my appetite for healthy breakfast returns!

This is a hard one for me, but I am going to give it a good go 🙂
