Here we are at Day 10 of the 30-Day Weight Loss-athon. We’re one-third of the way through!
All tasks in the 30-Day Weight Loss-athon are adapted from the 52 Weight Loss Missions program.
Read the steps first, then take 10 minutes to complete them.
Move fast, act quickly and stop over-thinking. Ready?
Our group responses are as follows:
We will deplete the following foods out of our life: high sodium foods, canned foods, soda pop, downsize junk food, alcoholic beverages [except red wine which has been proven to keep your arteries cleaned out], etc.
Canned foods are high in sodium. Sodium is bad for your heart.
Your purse or bag: keep mints and a small amount of healthy food in a baggie
Your basement: deep freezer to keep frozen foods
Store the rest of your food in your pantry and cupboards.
I had already cleared my desk. I cleared the goodies from the kitchen counter relocating them when the family insisted on keeping them.
When I click on internet links that say “4 or 5 foods to never eat”, it always links to weight loss pills and gimmicks. Are there some foods we should not eat?
I like the idea of having other family members putting their high calorie foods in a different place. While they may not put them away, I can put them there out of sight for me.
I took care of this in December when I starting eating healthy organic foods. The one food I have trouble with is salt free blue corn tortilla chips, but they have been out of the house for about two months.
My group responses are:
What foods will you deplete out of your life: high sodium foods, canned foods – drain the juice & rinse with water to deplete sodium, soda pop, downsize junk food, alcoholic beverages, & etc.
Canned foods are high in sodium. Remember sodium is bad for your heart.
Your purse: keep mints in a baggie or small amount of healthy food
The basement: deep freezer to keep frozen foods
Anywhere else you store food. Pantry & cupboards
Not necessary. The things I binge on never stay long. If I have ice cream or butter or crisps or white crusty bread etc. I have to eat them ALL.
So my detox has consisted of not bringing them into the house at all.
Done!
Done, no Chocolate 🙁
