Have managed to say “no” to things I wanted to go to, but would not have enjoyed because of stuff I wanted to take care of at home. Want to make life easier. Choices are HARD for me.
Saying ‘No’ to things that will keep you sane will become easier in time, Carol. Choices can be hard to make, trust yourself and if you do pick the wrong choice don’t beat yourself up over it. It’s all a learning curve to help us make better choices in the future. You’ll be happier 🙂
Kylie, Community Manager
Our group responses are as follows: How to say No: 1. Only commit to what is of interest to you or feel good about donating your time or resources. 2. Only commit to the ones that you will participate in. 3. Do not feel bad if you have to say no “I am overcommitted.” “I am not available at this time.”
OK, managed to say “no” today for something for my own workload, not necessarily that of my staff, but I guess that is a start!
