Step 3: Say Hello!
It’s so great to have you along! Please leave a comment to say hi, introduce yourself, and/or share your life-simplifying challenges.
Hi…I am Valerie from Los Angeles, California. I am starting this a day late but that is pretty typical for me…a dollar short, a day late….always overbusy and overstressed. I want my house back…it has become filled with clutter due to having a hubby and 2 kids (1 a teenager and 1 with special needs) that don’t put things away. This is a Mother’s Day gift to myself….Happy Mother’s Day 🙂
Don’t worry about starting late Valerie. If clutter is bugging you then do Day #1 and give yourself a huge pat on the back.
Hi, I’m Christine from the UK. I suffer from Rheumatoid Arthritis which leaves me pretty immobile and fatigued a lot of the time which makes any Decluttering or organising in general a challenge. I desperately need to simplify my life to take advantage of the good days doing pleasant things rather than trying to sort out “stuff”. I’m looking forward to having something structured in “bite sized chunks” to keep me on track!

Christine dear, I had been wondering what your health problems were and now I know. Wish I had a magic wand, but since I don’t I will of course pray for you.
I am looking forward to this challenge! I havea 9 month old daughter, so I really want to get the house in order before she starts walking! I was on hospitalized bed rest during my pregnancy for 3 months, and another month at home, so I wasn’t able to even be on my feet when I was at home to do any type of cleaning. After the baby was born, well, many of you know what that is like with sleep deprivation and having zero energy for cleaning… Then I went back to work full time as a teacher when she was four months old, and life has been very busy! Needless to say, many tasks and chores have really been neglected, and I am hoping this challenge will help kick start getting things back in order.

Hi Michele! I’m a single mom to two preteens & I suffer from depression. Because of my own struggles with motivation, I’ve never really taught my girls to pick up after themselves. I’ve recently realized that they are as overwhelmed as I am, so I’m hoping that by drastically cutting back on what we have, it will be easier learning to take care of things.
It certainly will Heather, and you’ll learn from and encourage each other. 🙂
Both my home and my office are in desparate need of some organisation so looking forward to starting the challenge.
Hi, Michele
Last time I wrote I was telling you how I schedule all my yearly physical and dental exams on or close to my bitprthday as a way of self care. Well, this winter has been a struggle – I have developed asthma, have recently learned I am allergic to a number of things in my environment, and have developed ( mostly hereditary) hypertension. My organizing challenges are getting a handle on my home where my husband with ADD and my 4 year old twins keep me hopping, my less than two year old psychology practice is demanding and busy, and I am fatigued and struggling to breathe most of the time. Did I mention I am paramenopausal?.. I have really enjoyed your 52 organizing missions, so am excited to learn more from you about simplifying. Regards, Rebecca
A big welcome Rebecca! You are one busy lady!!
H! I just want my house to be nice again! 🙂 simply uncluttered and magazine coveristic 🙂
Got shoes & bags gone through and have a ton to give away/throw away.
Hi Michele! I am also Michele with one L 🙂 I’m hoping to gain some clarity through your program. It seems like I never have time to slow down and plan for the future, and I never have any time to set aside for me!
Great name! Me time is on the agenda. 🙂
I had a hard time deciding to sign up for this as I will be going on vacation for 2 weeks during the 21 days. I figure I can just start when I get back. It will work for any 21 day period, right?
I declutter regularly using your daily missions, so I couldn’t find much to get rid of, but I found plenty to put away. I hope that counts!
Haha you’re a pro by now Marla! Definitely counts. 🙂
Busy Mom with a toddler and a baby! Anything helps!;o)
Excited to simplify my life !!
Hi everyone, my name is Jill. I am a wife, mom to 4, grandma to 2, full-time employee, full-time student, fur momma to 3. I work with special needs children in a high school and run around to all my children’s various activities. I’m looking for a way to keep my house running smoothly, semi-clean, and help me regain some of my sanity. I know it’s a tall order but I know it can happen!
Hi Michelle , I am in USA. Thank you for this affordable Mother’s Day Gift. I am new business owner and ready to get rid of sabotaging my life through procrastination. I start and stop. Also, hello to everyone in the group, it ‘s good to know I am in among others seeking to grow.
Raring to go this morning! Can’t wait to spend some quality time thinking about what is important in my life and what gets to go! Here comes a healthy, calmer, naturally motivating and energised new focus to my life! Thank you as always Michele! X
Great to have you along Amanda!
I’m trying to get back on track after a couple of the worst years of my life. During that time, I lost my enthusiasm for just about everything and now I’m faced with the results. And it is overwhelming, to say the least! At one time I knew where everything was at any given time. Now…it’s an entirely different story. I’ve become a procrastinating, disorganized, scatterbrained “hot mess”! I need a miracle, but I’ll be happy with just some light at the end of the tunnel. Say there’s hope…please!
There is definitely hope, Cheryl. I think the next 21 days will help a lot.
