Technology allows us to be more productive and better organized than ever before.
An excellent way to jumpstart your organizational and productivity skills is to download the right apps.
Here are some of the most popular Android and iPhone apps available today.
Organization Apps
Evernote (iOS | Android)
Evernote is a clear winner when it comes to note taking applications. Robust enough for business and simple enough for the casual user, Evernote consolidates all of your post-its, to do lists, and reminders into a single system. If your phone or smart device’s internal note-taking app just isn’t cutting it, Evernote is a free and easy-to-use alternative. Evernote is also a cloud-based service, which means that it can be easily connected to through a browser and synced with other devices.
Cozi (iOS | Android)
The perfect free family organization app, Cozi lets you schedule appointments, set reminders, track shopping, and even keep a journal of important information. Cozi can be used to send reminder emails to family members, so chores can be easily tracked and can even send text messages as needed.
Grocery IQ (iOS | Android)
Grocery IQ is a fantastic, niche organizer that’s designed to help you get your grocery shopping under control. We’ve all had times when we’ve gone to the grocery store and completely blanked on what we needed — but no more. Grocery IQ will both track your grocery list and help you find the items aisle by aisle once you’re at the store. Grocery IQ can also find coupons for you, which can be scanned at the register — so this free app can actually save you money.
Chore Pad (iOS)
Having trouble keeping the chores straight in your household? Chore Hero to the rescue! Chore Hero tracks all of the chores that need to be done in your house and who is responsible for them. These chores can then be scheduled by day, so that you and your family gets alerts as needed.
Remember the Milk (iOS | Android)
Maybe you don’t want to have to deal with a lot of different apps. Remember the Milk is a lot of apps in one, with a very simple and easy-to-use interface. Though it doesn’t have a lot of the more advanced features of organizers and schedulers, that’s actually to its benefit. Remember the Milk gives you everything that you need without adding too much clutter. It’s essentially an all-in-one reminder service app, which also includes priority levels and due dates.
Mint (iOS | Android)
Finally, sometimes you need to organize not only your chores… but also your expenses. Mint is a budget tracker that tracks your spending over time, to make sure that you don’t end up spending more than you should every month. Mint can automatically sync with your financial accounts to make sure that you aren’t missing anything.
Productivity Apps
Trello (iOS | Android)
Trello is a project management app that makes project management quite simple. Not only is it available on smartphones and tablets, but it can also be connected to online — so all of your data is wherever you need it to be. Unlike a lot of productivity and project management apps, Trello is simple and easy enough to be used for household projects as well as business-related endeavors.
FocusList (iOS)
FocusList can be used with an Apple Watch. It’s designed to make it easier to complete tasks by telling you exactly what you need to do at each time. You setup a list of tasks for yourself and how long they should take, and your watch and phone work together to tell you when to start each task and when you can take a break.
Forest (iOS | Android)
A very unique type of productivity app, Forest gives you a tree that will slowly grow as you remain productive. Forest knows that people are at their least productive when they are playing with their phone… so Forest essentially makes it so that you aren’t compelled to use your phone when you’re supposed to be focusing on other things. This can also be an excellent addition to dinner nights or family time, as it can discourage the use of one’s phone while interacting with others.
Hours (iOS)
Hours is a time-tracking application that can be used to display reports regarding exactly what you’re working on and how long it’s taking. This is a great first step towards optimizing your personal performance; you’ll be able to identify exactly where your time is going.
Strides (iOS)
Both an app and a website, Strides is designed to track both your goals and habits. Whether you’re trying to be healthier or get more work done, productivity can be measured in many different ways. Strides will help you develop your lifestyle, both on a personal and business level. Exercise, weight, water, sleep, reading, budgeting, meditation, money saving, and waking time can all be easily tracked through the system.
Now you just need to get downloading and installing and you can get started!
Productivity and organization apps are an excellent tool to use when you just can’t seem to break out of the rut. Many of these apps are available completely for free, so you can try them out until something feels right to you.

Heya!!
What a post!!!
I felt just wow!!
Actually i had created my apps on wp playtform.. you can check out some post on my site
Wunderlist is great and while it’s been around for a while now I still find it really helpful with my to-do list. I also love LastPass, which stores all of my passwords in one location – so much easier than trying to think of passwords and having to write them somewhere. LastPass is a real favorite.
On my iPhone and iPad I use Things – they’ve just released version 3. It’s a paid app, but I find it really useful for managing my tasks.
