Welcome to the 30-Day Organize-athon!
In today’s 5 minutes we’re going to express-declutter the cabinets in your bathroom.
As usual, inhale a sense of clarity, freedom and order, then let’s get to it!
Day 4: Declutter Your Bathroom Cabinets
Step 1: Grab a large garbage bag.
Step 2: Open up your bathroom cabinets and, quickly scanning from top left to bottom right, toss into the bag:
- Medicines past their expiration date*
- Medicines for conditions that no longer apply*
- Old, expired or yucky toiletries
- Old, expired or yucky make-up
- Old, expired or yucky bath/shower products
- Ancient or dirty hairbrushes and combs
- Old perfumes and lotions
- Empty or mildewed bottles
- Anything gross or unpleasant to use
- Anything that hasn’t been used in the past 12 months.
Step 3: Throw your bag straight into the trash. Euw!
And you’re done!
Got an Extra 5 Minutes?
- Refresh your first-aid supplies:
– Make a list of items you need for a first-aid kit – including bandages, medicines, antiseptics and other emergency supplies appropriate for your family’s needs
– Check your bathroom cabinet for missing items and add these to your shopping list. - Take everything out of your cabinets, wipe down the shelves, and return everything neatly.
- Rearrange your cabinets so that:
– Similar things are together (eg all oral care items are together), and
– Most commonly used items are most easily accessible.
Now don’t you just want to admire those cabinets?

Done, better late than never. It’s the nudge that I need, thanks.
A little behind, but getting caught up! Gonna make sure I don’t miss even one of these challenges! This one is done!
I played catchup this past weekend. Did a week of organizing tasks in 2 days…but feels SO good 🙂
Playing Catchup…
Day 4, done!
Couldn’t believe how much OLD JUNK was in there!!! DONE though.
Thought I was more on top of this one. It took longer than I expected but it looks great now!!
done
Bleh… did it. THAT was a long job. But things look better, and I found stuff I didn’t know I had! 😉
I did this one last night! I was brave and conquered my own cabinets instead of taking the easy way out and doing my husband’s! Have you ever noticed it’s so much easier to get rid of someone elses stuff? ESPECIALLLY your husbands?!
Even though I clean these out once a year for a deep clean, I was surprised how much I tossed. I think it’s the pressure of the 5 min. time limit so you don’t think so much about it, but rather go with your first instinct.
I only got 1/2 way through the one cupboard (large) but I love those sample sizes!

Wow that was a lot of old toiletries.
I have a bunch of my olds but not expired to my little girl, she thought it was great and now I dont have to buy her anything for a while. Great way to cycle through things.
Done!
Done and it looks good
Nice to have this done!!
Done!!!
All Done!
Ok. This one was hard! I haven’t done much in there recently so I think I was overwhelmed, but I did it. Whew!
I am a little behind but will catch back up!!!
Bathroom Cabinets DONE !!!! YEAH !!
