Welcome to the 30-Day Organize-athon!
In today’s 5 minutes we’re going to express-organize your grooming products and gadgets.
And today’s bonus task will save you time, space and money!
Day 28: Organize Your Grooming Supplies
Step 1: Grab a large bag and take it to your bathroom cabinets, tallboy drawers, dressing table, or wherever you keep your grooming supplies.
Step 2: Quickly empty everything out – make-up, cosmetics, hair products, dryers, straighteners/rollers, hair accessories, nail polish, the works! For guys, we’re talking shaving stuff, hair products, and sundry after-shave lotions/colognes.
Step 3: Now replace only those items that:
- You actually use
- You enjoy using
- Make you look good
- Make you feel good
- Are in good condition
- Don’t take forever to use.
Step 4: Toss everything else into your bag and put it straight into the trash.
And you’re done!
Got an Extra 5 Minutes?
Let’s streamline your personal grooming routine and save space, time and money. Simply decide to stop using time-consuming or excess grooming products and tools – and discard them.
Look for:
- Straighteners or gadgets that take too much time and effort
- Messy make-up that leaves a trail of powder or residue
- Difficult-to-use cosmetics that often need a do-over
- Multiple steps and products invented by cosmetic companies
- Anything that requires constant touch-ups.
A simple routine will make you feel lighter, fresher, and more relaxed, too.
Now how beautiful is that!

Done.
a relatively easy one for me to finish — 28 of 28 done
Done 🙂 I don’t wear makeup much so don’t have a whole lot. Got rid of some hair curlers though – I have never used them what a waste of $$$
I’d done a lot of this before but got rid of some more stuff! And I found some stuff under a drawer that the last owners had left, AND a better shelf for the medicine cabinet hidden there too!
done. yeah!! I feel in charge of my stuff. free from having my stuff in charge of me and my time. this has been and awesome adventure. thanks.
All challenges have been completed. 2 more days, I’ll miss these daily prompts. I like this idea of having one little task to acomplish. I feel so good when it’s done! Now if I could just get my family to cooportate in keeping things done.
isn’t it amazing how we are sold items that intentionally make our lives harder
and that makes 28 of 28 completed.
done (5 more min in the medicine cabinet)
Done! do not have much in this area. Did all week’s tasks. 🙂
Finished and commented on Tasks 22-28. Thanks!
Done and now hubby looks like the diva! He has the collection of travel size items- because he travels! He does use them, just has alot now due to his Christmas stocking being stocked.
Done. This one was pretty easy.
Did when cleaning bathrooms – Done.
Thank you so much for these challenges days 1-28 have all been done!
my 2nd take on this challenge done (bath) and now I’m thinking about the toiletries in the guest bath. I’ve not had overnight house guests since August . . .
Done…although I imagine I could really benefit if I were to take the time to go through my grooming supplies a couple of more times at the very least- that’s what I would need in order to truly weed things out. I did get rid of quite a few products that I haven’t used in long while and/or that have expired. I think, though, that I “held on” to way more than I really need or that I will really use. For some reason, it’s hard to toss so much make-up, etc. all at one time. I was able to make pretty good strides with the surfaces of my bathroom counter/vanity, but it seems it’s a whole different story when I have to weed through things in drawers and in cosmetic cases. So…I plan on “revisiting” this area a couple of more times in the near future. My goal is to get to a point where I am keeping ONLY those things that are in ACTUAL use…no more of the “MIGHT” use it one day.
Sorry, you can make me toss just about anything…but we dont mess with my makeup!!
