30-Day Organize-athon | Day 21: Organize Your Pantry

30-Day Organize-athon 21

Welcome to the 30-Day Organize-athon!

In today’s 5 minutes we’re going to express-organize your pantry.

Let’s start.

Day 21: Organize Your Pantry

Step 1: Grab a bag and open your pantry. Quickly scanning your shelves from top to bottom, toss into the bag anything that:

  • Has passed its use-by date
  • Is stale or unappetizing
  • No-one eats.

Step 2: Do a quick tidy of the remaining items in your pantry.

And you’re done!

Got an Extra 5 Minutes?

  1. Wipe down your pantry shelves.
  2. Check your stores of pantry staples. Add anything you need to your shopping list.
  3. Notice anything you have in excess supply. Make a mental note to stop buying these items.

Now doesn’t that feel fresher!

The 30-Day Organize-athon Mantra

What a pleasure to open the pantry door and see everything neat and organized. I love doing this. My home atmosphere feels great and so do I. My hubby is really liking it and getting involved as well.

  2. Tiffany says:

Did this a while back. All labels one way, etc. Took an example from my sister’s cabinets. Actually fit more in than I realized I could 🙂

  3. Deirdre says:

We moved a few months ago and started our pantry from scratch, so this was pretty easy. Just some minor organizing to do and done!

  4. Jodie says:

Done. I did this awhile ago and have managed to keep it up so a quick tidy up was all I needed to do 🙂

So, I’m seriously behind on the challenges. Part procrastination, pArt my kids being home for spring break!! But I was able to kill several birds (or tasks) with one stone.

I need to go to the grocery store in a serious way, so to prepare for that I cleaned the fridge and the pantry! It didn’t take me as long as I thought it would. And now the shelves are ready to be restocked!!

This felt so good to get accomplished; I love getting to open the doors to my cupboards and see EVERYTHING.

  7. Janelle says:

It’s nice to open the pantry doors & see it neat & know that everything is within the expiration date. lol.

  8. Krista says:

It’s harder to do, but I’m catching up 5 min. at a time as I was on vacation and then sick for the week after, but that’s what Sat. is for 🙂 Loved getting a whole bagful of expired, unnecessary foodstuffs from my pantry – my husband thought it would not be possible!

  9. Debby Sapp says:

Very hard because some of my drawers are messed up and I had to be careful to not let them fall. (sigh) Did find some things I’d promised myself that the next time I organized my pantry if they were still there, I’d get rid of. They’re going to my friend. She eats that kind of stuff.
