30-Day Organize-athon | Day 20: Organize Your Fridge

30-Day Organize-athon 20

Welcome to the 30-Day Organize-athon!

In today’s 5 minutes we’re going to express-organize your fridge.

Let’s go!

Day 20: Organize Your Fridge

Step 1: Grab a bag and open your fridge. Quickly scanning your shelves from top to bottom, toss into the bag anything that:

  • Has passed its use-by date
  • Has wilted, sprouted, or smells funky
  • No-one eats.

Step 2: Quickly wipe down the shelves (work around the remaining items).

Step 3: Do a quick tidy of the remaining items in your fridge.

And you’re done!

Got an Extra 5 Minutes?

Let’s freshen up the freezer:

  1. Scan your freezer and discard anything ancient, expired or of unknown provenance.
  2. Quickly wipe down the shelves or drawers.
  3. Do a quick tidy of the remaining items in your freezer.

Tomorrow we’ll declutter your pantry.

The 30-Day Organize-athon Mantra

Move fast. Don’t overthink. Let it go!

Start the 5-minute timer now.

I have been doing your assignments every day (although five minutes is not usually NEARLY enough time!) and this one is one of the easiest! I spent about two days last week purging my pantry and refrigerator–what a sense of accomplishment!

    Hi

Half done at the moment The rest is being done in the morning

Did some of this the day we did the communications centre organisation and have been doing some each day as well

I have 2 out of 3 shelved done just so we can fit stuff in and the last shelf is a pain at the moment so that is tomoroz task as well as rewiping all the finger prints off
The crisper dishes are done each week before shopping and also sometimes to make a pot luck meal with whatever is in the fridge to save wasting wilted veges They either go into a meal for us or into the dog food for the dogs meals for a week

Blog and pics will be updated again eventually but we have a few very busy days at the moment so am once again behind in the blog

    Luv Deb

Not too bad….I sorta keep up with this one. Little tip, put some paper towels in the bottom of your crisper bin. I’ve been doing this for a couple months now. It keeps your veggies/fruits longer I think….and is easy to clean up. Just change the paper towel.

Wow, up at midnight doing yesterdays, back up at 6 a.m. to do this one. Feels good that I am caught up. I had no idea there was that much outdated food in my fridge. Now to keep it under control.

  5. M.E. says:

  6. Tanya Watson says:
