30-Day Organize-athon 16

Welcome to the 30-Day Organize-athon!

In today’s 5 minutes we’re going to organize your um, delicates.

OK go!

Day 16: Organize Your Underwear

Step 1: Empty your underwear drawer.

Step 2: Collect only those items that:

  1. You wear; and
  2. Are in good condition; and
  3. Make you feel good.

Step 3: Arrange these items in your underwear drawer, keeping:

  • Similar items together – eg sports bras in one pile
  • Most frequently used items in the most accessible locations – eg special-occasion lingerie can go toward the back of the drawer.

Step 4: Throw into the trash all discarded underwear – decrepit, discolored and demoralizing alike.

And you’re done!

Got an Extra 5 Minutes?

Let’s take stock of your underwear requirements. (Boys, you get a pass on this one. Smile)
Check your closet and determine whether you need any additional underwear in order to make the most of your clothes, eg:

  • Strapless bra
  • Racer back bra
  • T-shirt bra
  • Nude bra
  • Shapewear
  • Thong or boy-leg brief (to avoid visible panty line).

Now isn’t that refreshing?

This was an easy one – replace undies and bras on a regular basis – tossing out the old as needed. Thanks for your inspiration and helpful hints!!

  2. Melissa says:

My “unmentionables” went through a major overhaul a while back. I do need to replace a bra and a few undies, but for the most part, this job was already done! Yay!

  3. Ruth says:

I am done, as I hardly have any that fit me. I just do a lot of washing, but really need to go shopping as soon as I can.

  4. Debra Stanley says:

    Hi

This one was easy as i went through my underwear drawer the other week and got rid of all the undies i hated and didnt sit right

I cant stand knickers that ride up and the drawer was starting to over flow so chucked nearly half of them then

The bras i went through and any that didnt feel right went to my daughter and the rest went bye bye

I am paranoid about holes or dirty yucky undies or undies with stains so they go in the toilet bin on a regular basis if i notice anything wrong with them rather than putting them out to be washed

Mum always said “Have clean undies on in case you have a accident,
The ambulance officers will all talk about your undies if they are not clean”

After speaking to ambulance officers that is the last thing on their minds but it always stuck with me lol

Now I only have enough undies for a week just in case the washing didnt get done

    Socks are the same

They will be replaced as need be

    Luv Deb

Done! This one is fairly easy for me because I believe in wearing only underwear that makes me feel important/special…I used to keep old, ragged undies but I’ve invested in good quality and have plenty of good ones. I keep them fairly organized.

  6. Kimberly Cole says:

All done! I thought it was funny that I could look in my underwear drawer and see different phases of my life. I went from hot, skimpy, sexy lingerie to what I like to call my mommy phase… I kind of miss my hot, skimpy sexy days now. Maybe I’ll go shopping and do a wardrobe update lol.

  7. Jennifer says:

Done – except for bras – I just completely weaned my daughter a couple months ago and after 3+ years of nursing, I wanted the girls to get to where they were going to be… I just a couple weeks ago started buying new bras. Need some more before I toss the much loved nursing bras.

  8. Tanya Watson says:

Woo!! I can chuck out all my grandma undies from my caesar days and buy sexy new ones!! Michele said so!! LMAO!! 😉

  9. Allison says:

I did this in wardrobe clear out. Will keep only 2 lingerie items, the rest I need to replace immediately. I didn’t want to spend the money but it really is essential equipment. Looks like I am shopping in the morning!
