It’s been some time since we last spoke about apps that help us with productivity and organization.
In 2012, Michele wrote about The Best iPhone Apps For Getting Organized And Being More Productive and followed up with The Best Android Apps For Getting Organized And Being More Productive.
Today we are going to look at a few more current favorites.
Latest Apps to Help You Stay Organized
1. Goodwill
What better app to keep on-hand than an app for a donation center? Yes, Goodwill has an app that helps you seek for the nearest drop off points together with the time that they are open and closed. Plus it’s free.
This is a perfect resource when putting into action your “keep, throw, donate” strategy. If you still need some help with that you’ll find inspiration in our declutter clinic tips: Declutter Clinic: Should I Sell, Donate, Or Throw It Out?
2. Epicurious
Epicurious contain 30, 000 recipes online but can be downloaded for free. Downloading this app on your device removes your need to hoard several bulky recipe books, clutter reduced plus the 30, 000 recipes will last you a lifetime.
This app will be a great resource for your What’s For Dinner? Dilemma.
3. HomeRoutines
We mentioned HomeRoutines in our previous blogs and this app is still going strong years later. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s definitely worth a look.
HomeRoutines helps you keep track of your chores automatically notifying you of task to do. So no procrastinating and no piled up jobs will be left undone. And for a reward, you get a shiny gold star for a task ticked off the list. It’s at $4.99.

4. MagicPlan
MagicPlan Layout is a free app that helps you reorganise your rooms in the house minus the moving of furniture prematurely.
The app takes the room’s dimension through your phone’s camera and creates a flattened layout to play with. Furniture can be moved around to see where it fits best, all at the palm of your hand.
I love this idea! How much easier would this be – no more struggling to move furniture around only to find you liked it in the original position!
If you’re worried about the available space your home has, use our clever Decluttering Mantra.
5. 52 Organizing Missions
Of course, we also recommend our own app! 52 Organizing Missions is designed to help you go through a day-to-day task to complete. You can complete each task for 30 minutes with our easy to follow steps. It has extended missions for you, what to do and not to do and other suggestions to make the decluttering experience a family affair. It’s $9.99 in apps store.
You can read more about the app here.
Hello! Got any Wizard apps for Androids? I was so disappointed to see the 52 Org.Missions was for iPad only!!
Unfortunately most of these really cool apps are only for the iPhone brands, not Android.
