So in this mission, we’ll follow 3 steps to transform your work zone into an organized office.

Our group responses are as follows:
We would need a huge trash bag and donation box
Trash: Anything broken, yucky, tatty, or inconsistent with your professionalism.
Keep:School or college notes and texts: keep the papers that you use and pertain to your field of interest; Old paperwork, bills, receipts, mail: once the bills are paid keep for 1 year and then shred in case of discrepancy with the company; keep documents if needed for taxes; Birthday, Christmas and greeting cards – unless they’re genuinely special to you: create a scrapbook for your cards; Old notebooks not needed for reference: shred the material inside. Keep the notebook for future use.
Doubles of staplers, hole punches, scissors, rulers, etc. If you use the item frequently then keep the double otherwise donate the duplicate
Shred: other papers; if confidential or you’re mailing address
Donate:Old computer or software manuals: donate to a computer technician or your school/college; outdated printers, scanners, fax machines: donate to your computer technician;
Defunct phones, computers, and cells, PDAs etc.: donate check your local area for reconditioning of equipment to be sold for a low price to low income people
Pertinent items we keep at our Home Desk: Desktop or Laptop Computers; Staplers; Staples; Staple Remover; Pens; Pencils; Sticky Notes; Computer Paper; Printer & Toner/Ink; tape dispenser; scissors; letter opener; checks; check register; postage stamps; local phone books; daily planner; desk calendars; file cabinet or plastic container
I have cleared down our true office space, keeping only the relevant at hand. Lots binned and an op shop pile has begun. To be brutally honest I do have a room adjoining the office which is supposed to be a treatment/meditation room, but at present is called “Junk Room Number 3” (yes I have 3 at the mo) so don’t be too impressed, however at least the office is now a space that can be used properly to sort out that junk room and the rest of my life, so all progress….
