It’s time for Day 12 of the 30-Day Weight Loss-athon.
All tasks in the 30-Day Weight Loss-athon are adapted from the 52 Weight Loss Missions program.
Read the steps first, then take 10 minutes to think about them and take action. Ready?
Hmm – a tricky one for me. I have two diet buddies but difficult for either of them to exercise with me. I will think about the personal trainer idea… I’m trying to swim twice a week and will try and get 1 x yoga or pilates session in a week from today. I might cough up for some one-to-one pilates sessions. Yes. THAT IS WHAT I SHALL DO!
This is something I really desire, but have not beensuccessful at generating and maintaining. Accountability partners are so valuable. I will really look out for this over theweekend. I have several online groups, but I’d really like someone whoI can touch or at least talk to on the phone.
Our group responses are as follows:
Ask your exercise buddy for tips, suggestions, ideas to keep you moving forward.
Ask a friend to be your healthy cooking buddy weekly agreeing to share healthy recipes.
If your finances allow; pay for a personal trainer.
If your medical insurance carrier covers or you have the finances to pay for a nutritionist or dietician to help you create a healthy lifestyle for you.
We can exercise at the Center for free Monday through Friday.
I am using myfitnesspal.com and runkeeper.com
Based on reading the comments below I’m going to try spark people. Since my kids are old enough to leave alone I don’t see me getting a personal trainer.

Have a PT at the gym and I’ll be able to go back in April (had surgery). It’s a great support for me.
Booked a PT so I have to be accountable to her 🙂
I always struggle with the support network. SparkPeople is a good online resource, but I regularly burn out trying to check in on a daily basis. I’m looking for a new network that I can maintain.
